Danilo Apicella, Maiorese, classe '94, fin da piccolo amante dell'arte, all'età di 20 anni ho scoperto il mondo della fotografia.
Già dalla tenera età ho avuto modo di approcciarmi al mondo dell'arte grazie al mio maestro, nonché mio zio, Claudio Papa; pittore di professione, fotografo per passione, mi ha trasmesso l'importanza di guardare il mondo con occhi diversi.
Da un primo approccio autodidatta, ho iniziato a frequentare vari corsi di fotografia, dalle basi alle tecniche più avanzate. Ho passato un anno a Siena, dove nello studio del fotografo Marco Soldateschi, ho appreso le basi e le tecniche principali della fotografia. Ritornato nella mia amata terra, ho approfondito gli studi frequentando due corsi (base e avanzato) di Salerno Fotografia, tenuti dal fotografo Gerardo D'Elia.
I miei lavori riguardano i temi più disparati: ho iniziato con il genere che più prediligo, la ritrattistica, cimentandomi anche nella paesaggistica, street photography e reportage.

Danilo Apicella, Maiori, born in 1994, art lover, at the age of 20 I got addicted to the world of photography.
Since I was a child, I got close to the art world thanks to my teacher, as well as my uncle, Claudio Papa; professional painter, photographer for passion, he showed me the world by looking at it with different eyes.
From a first self-taught approach, I started attending various photography courses, from the basics to the most advanced techniques. I spent a year in Siena (Italy), where in the studio of the photographer Marco Soldateschi, I learned the basics and the main techniques of photography. Returned to the Amalfi Coast, I deepened the studies by attending two courses (basic and advanced) at “Salerno Fotografia”, maintained by the photographer Gerardo D'Elia.
My works concern wide range of subjects: initially I’ve been photographing the genre that I like most, portraiture, also experimenting with landscaping, street photography and reportage.
